Post lockdown colour

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you are keeping well and managing to enjoy the sunshine in your own socially distanced way.

This week Adam has some thoughts on post lock down hair colour.

Coming out of lock down like...

Whilst we have had much more time on our hands than we would usually, have you looked in the mirror and thought "What would I look like with...?" While we can't make your teeth  whiter or your lips fuller, below I am going to talk you through hair colour and some of the terminology we get questions on most...

Face Framers are a placement of foils or freehand lightener to brighten up around your face, giving you a lift. This gives dimension & contouring to the hair. This is great for clients who are considering lightening up their hair for the first time or to freshen up a Balayage service in between your big appointments. We love this look by Signature Stylist, Bekka.

Scattered Foils are a great way to turn your block colour in to a more multi-dimensional, tonal colouremulating natural hair. These don't have to be super bright or blonde and can be created in a bespoke tone to suit you. Here is one I created for my guest to soften off her dark coloured hair.

Veiled lights can go by many names like 'hidden lights' & 'concealed lights' and are used to give guests a brighter feel without the commitment of seeing the regrowth as they are placed underneath the top layer of your hair. They are usually a lot finer and fewer of them than a Balayage but create extra dimension and texture.

Toner is my favourite unsung hero for intensifying, subduing, or counteracting your hair colour. This is not just for blondes either! We usually put toner on your hair after it has been washed and adds gorgeous shine while creating the shade of your choice which can last up to 20 washes. Here is a gorgeous finish by Senior Stylist, Ceilidh.

To keep your hair tone the way you want it for longer we recommend the use of Kevin Murphy's 'Blonde.Angel', 'Sugared.Angel', 'Autumn.Angel' and 'Cool.Angel' once a week and leave on for up to 10 minutes. They cover all hair colour types and are treatments which offer beautiful shine and hair restoring properties.
