Fabulous hair for the festive season

As well as our Hove salon, Samuel Chapman Salon has arrived in Haywards Heath, and we are so happy to be here!

The festive holidays are fast approaching and we’re aiming to spread a little extra magic and sparkle this year by ensuring you look and feel fabulous, says Senior Stylist, Jade.

It’s time to spoil yourself, especially after the year we’ve just been through. So bring on the glitter and glam and make sure your hair is looking fabulously festive and ready for anything – from late-night partying and mistletoe moments to coffee with friends and that all-important Christmas lunch with the family.

Here are our top hair tips for a truly beautiful Christmas:

Step into Christmas…

Senior Stylist, Jade loves an up-do and Christmas is the perfect time to really rock this look. While in the chair, ask your stylist to show you a couple of easy party options – from beautiful curls, ballerina buns to classy chignons. “Book an appointment with me in Haywards Heath and we’ll pull out all the stops to ensure you make an unforgettable entrance at your party.”

Add some Christmas colour

Go for it! But don’t forget you’ll need to plan ahead a little. Depending on the look you’re after, you may need more than one colour appointment, so it’s best to book early as Christmas is our busiest time.

Senior Stylist, Reid suggests keeping an eye on our salon Instagram (@schapmansalon) for some creative colour inspiration – from pretty pastels to festive reds and brilliant blondes to sultry brunettes – you’ll find lots of ideas to inspire your next salon visit.

To keep your colour salon-fresh into the new year Graduate Stylist, Olivia recommends:

• Using a sulphate-free shampoo – All products sold in Samuel Chapman salon are sulphate-free, paraben-free & cruelty-free.

• Rinse your hair with cold water as hot water opens the hair cuticle and washes colour away.

• Use a heat protectant when drying and styling as heat will cause faster fading – Authentic Beauty Concept have a fabulous heat protector ‘flawless primer’ that every client should have in their cupboard.

Extending the party season

Prevent your hair from becoming dry and brittle from the cold weather and central heating. Olivia suggests our own range ‘Samuel Chapman Hair Care – Repair Mask’ for truly indulgent, intense hydration without weighing your hair down. “Wash your hair as usual, remember to always wash twice as the first is to to remove the dirt, the second is to do the job your shampoo is meant to do. Then towel dry your hair to remove most of the water, apply through mid-lengths & ends, avoiding the root area. Brush through and wrap up for at least 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. I’d recommend doing this at least once a week.”

Top Tip

While your repair mask is on wrap your hair in cling film to retain the heat from your scalp and ensure the mask penetrates deeply into the hair.

Thinking about a change? Why not try a fresh new colour to brighten up the winter months?
